Foggy morning leads to partly cloudy Thursday; freeze watch issued for Christmas weekend

ORLANDO, Fla. — The weather in Central Florida will be nice Thursday as big wintry changes approach.

After some dense morning fog burns away, Thursday will be mostly cloudy and cool.

High temperatures in our area should reach the low 70s this afternoon.

There will be an increased possibility for rain in southern Brevard and Osceola counties this evening.

Channel 9 meteorologists have been tracking wintry changes that will arrive here late Friday and through Christmas weekend.

The front that will bring the blast of Arctic air arrives Friday.

It will bring limited rain and pack a punch with cold temperatures.

Friday, temperatures will fall through the afternoon and it will turn breezy.

Freezing temperatures are possible overnight Friday into Saturday morning.

Most likely multiple freeze warnings and hard freeze warnings will be in place.
