ORLANDO, Fla. — Central Florida is expected to get a considerable amount of rain over the busy travel weekend.
More clouds and showers have built over the start of the evening hours. Expect soggy conditions overnight through the following 24 hours.
The rainbands are associated with a low-pressure system that is tracking over the Gulf of Mexico and will move over northern Florida on Sunday.
The system will bring in plenty of instability, which will produce downpours to move over the entire Florida peninsula. The is a high risk for flooding for Central Florida. Generally, three to four inches of rain is likely and a few spots could receive some higher amounts.
