Police: One person killed after experimental plane crashes in Titusville

TITUSVILLE, Fla. — Titusville Police confirmed that one person was killed after an experimental plane crashed Thursday afternoon.

Officers responded to a report of a plane crash at the Space Coast Regional Airport just before 4 p.m.

Officials said the amateur-built Velocity RG crashed near the runway and burst into flames, killing the pilot.

There were no other injuries reported.

The NTSB and Titusville police are investigating the cause of the crash.
