WFTV's sister station obtains photos from inside Vegas shooter's room

LAS VEGAS — WFTV's sister station, Boston 25 News, has obtained exclusive photos from police sources showing the guns used during a massacre in Las Vegas that claimed the lives of 59 people and wounded 527 Sunday night.

Boston 25's Jacqui Henrich obtained the photos early Tuesday morning, and they clearly show the gun on the floor of the Mandalay Bay hotel room, and also shows numerous rounds of ammunition. Read more here on what else was found in the hotel room according to Boston 25 News.

At least 59 people were killed and hundreds more were injured Sunday night when a gunman opened fire on more than 22,000 people gathered near the Mandalay Bay Casino for a country music festival.

Police said the suspected gunman, identified as 64-year-old Stephen Craig Paddock, opened fire from the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Hotel on  people attending the Route 91 Harvest country music festival. Authorities found him dead in his hotel room, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.

Kristen Babik, a law student the University of Florida, is in stable condition, according to university officials.

Babik suffered a collapsed lung, broken ribs and is currently on bed rest, officials said.

Babik graduated in May 2015 cum laude with two bachelor's degrees.
