Brevard elementary classroom quarantined after positive COVID-19 cases

BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. — A classroom at a Brevard County elementary school has been shut down for two weeks because of the coronavirus.

Golfview Elementary sent a letter to parents saying several people at the school have tested positive for COVID-19 and have been asked to quarantine for 14 days.

School leaders said the decision was made after working with the Brevard Department of Health.

Officials said they plan to reopen on Sept. 14.
