Florida reports 6,700 new COVID-19 cases, 45 virus-related deaths

ORLANDO, Fla. — Florida reported an additional 6,772 new cases of the coronavirus on Wednesday.

The new cases bring the total number of cases in the state since the pandemic began to 2,141,686.

Of the latest cases, 1,723 were reported in Central Florida.

The state also reported an additional 45 virus-related deaths. Of those, 12 were reported in Central Florida, including four in Volusia County.
