ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — An Orange County hotel guest jumped into action when a child fell in the hotel's jacuzzi, Sunday. The 4-year old girl nearly drowned in the jacuzzi at the Marriott Grande Vista.
"I could see the child was unconscious," said Jo Bohn, who has been a registered nurse for more than 40 years. "I started doing CPR. Full CPR. She was frothing at the mouth."
But minutes later, the girl was alert and even sitting up in a chair. She was accompanied by her 10 and 13-year-old sisters, but their parents were nowhere to be found.
A hotel general manager said the facility doesn't have lifeguards around the pool or jacuzzi.
"God put me there for a reason and I was able to save this child," said Bohn.
The girl was taken to Dr. Phillips Hospital and a Sheriff's Office spokesman says she should be okay.
