ORLANDO, Fla.,None — Former astronaut Lisa Nowak's career is now in the Navy's hands. The Naval Criminal Investigative Service took custody of the evidence in the case.
In November, Nowak, a Navy captain, pleaded guilty to driving from Houston to Orlando International Airport in 2007 to confront her romantic rival, Colleen Shipman.
It's now up to Nowak's commanding officer in the Navy to decide what to do. She could be thrown in jail, demoted or forced to retire.
