1 killed, 2 injured in shooting outside Boardwalk Bowl in Orange County

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — One person was killed and two others were injured in a shooting outside an Orange County bowling alley on East Colonial Drive late Sunday night, authorities said.

Deputies said two groups of people got into a fight in the parking lot of Boardwalk Bowl and began shooting.

Bowler Pat Jacobs said his son was in a nearby business when gunshots rang out.

"He said he heard four gunshots, and he came outside and seen all the commotion and everything," Jacobs said.

Orange County Sheriff's Lt. Mike Crabb said witnesses told investigators that after the shooting, several injured people got into cars and left the area.

Investigators said three people were driven to hospitals. Christopher Seda, 24, was dead when he arrived at Florida Hospital East, they said.

Two others suffered serious injuries in the shootout, according to investigators.

Deputies said neither of the two wounded in the shooting were cooperating with law enforcement.

Authorities said no bystanders were injured in the shooting.

People who visited the bowling alley on Tuesday told Channel 9's Jeff Deal that they consider it a family place where they don't expect to find trouble.

"It's really nice in there. It's really tragic this took place, and I hope it never happens again," bowler Bill Miller said.

Records show that sheriff's deputies responded to the bowling alley 22 times last year, but almost each of those instances involved a minor incident or car crash.
