2 Orange County Moose Lodges accused of running illegal gambling operation

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — An Orange County Moose Lodge is under fire after investigators said undercover agents got memberships and were able to go inside and play gambling machines in which they were paid out in cash.

Signs outside the Azalea Park Moose Lodge advertise things like bingo and karaoke, but it's the illegal gambling operation that agents were looking for.

Moose Lodge administrator William Eubanks refused to speak with Channel 9 on Friday.

William and Judy Eubanks, the club's officer, were arrested in the case, as well as bartender Sherry Cockins.

Investigators said the lodge had video slot machines and paid out winnings in cash.

The state also sent undercover agents to the County Line Moose Lodge on East Colonial Drive, where investigators said they also found illegal video slot machines and a pull-tab gambling machine.

Administrator Ronald Yates and bartender Heidi Knowlton were arrested.

Yates told undercover agents he owned the pull-tab machine and kept all of the profits.

Between the two locations, investigators confiscated nine machines and made multiple arrests.
