$500K worth of Red Bull stolen from warehouse

MEDLEY, Fla. — Medley police said Red Bull energy drinks valued at about $500,000 were stolen from a warehouse in south Florida.

Authorities said the theft of nearly 100 pallets of the drink took place between the night of Nov. 9 and the morning of Nov. 11, when employees of the warehouse of OHL Inc. found the door locks open and discovered the theft.

Detectives said the thieves had a key to the business and disconnected the alarm system, which is remotely monitored by a security company.

Investigators said that once the thieves were inside the warehouse, they used four forklifts to move 108 pallets, though they threw away about 20 that had been damaged.

Police said the warehouse did not have surveillance cameras.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 305-471-6160.
