AAA: Holiday gas prices haven’t been this high since 2013

ORLANDO, Fla. — Travel experts say drivers’ wallets will be a little leaner for the upcoming holiday weekend, thanks to rising fuel prices.

AAA reported Monday that a gallon of gas in Florida jumped 10 cents in just the past week, pushing the state’s average to $3.36 per gallon.

In Orlando, drivers might feel slightly less pain at the pump, where a gallon of gas averages $3.34.

To put things in perspective, AAA estimates that you’ll pay about $50 to fill up your 15-gallon tank.

That’s $13 more than what drivers paid during Thanksgiving in 2019, before the pandemic took hold.
