BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. — Astronaut High School will be closed Monday, Aug. 31, because of a complete power outage, Brevard Public Schools announced.
The district initially planned to operate on a 90-minute delayed start, but said Florida Power & Light notified officials that power would not be restored in time for school operations.
Classes are expected to resume Tuesday, Sept. 1.
The district said additional information will be provided to families on Monday.
