OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. — Deputies say they have arrested two men in connection with a murder at the La Cantina bar in Osceola County.
Edwin Isales Falu and Brayann Escobar De Jesus were both arrested and charged with murder on Friday. Investigators say the two suspects were patrons in the bar prior to the shooting.
Osceola County sheriff's deputies found the body of the victim outside the Kissimmee bar on June 15.
The victim was identified as 43-year-old Humberto Escudero-Capoeuila. He was found dead in the parking lot of the bar on N. Orange Blossom Trail.
WFTV found out Escudero-Capoeuila was inside the bar minutes before he was found dead.
La Cantina's owner, Jorge Torres, was short with WFTV when reporter Racquel Asa asked about the incident.
Torres said his wife was running the bar when Escadero-Capoeuila was found dead in the parking lot.
Torres wouldn't show Asa the surveillance video taken from inside the bar, but he said that deputies have a copy of it.
He said it shows Escadero-Capoeuila alive inside the bar drinking.
However, about 2 a.m., the sheriff's office told WFTV, it received multiple 911 calls reporting shots fired.
One employee, who didn't want to be identified, said the bar is known for trouble.
"Last thing I would want to see is anything happening to anyone back there or any other incident following back to where we work," he said.
The sheriff's office told WFTV it has been called to La Cantina bar 11 times this year for complaints, ranging from noise to fights and criminal mischief.
