Body of half-naked man found in Eatonville woods

EATONVILLE, Fla. — Eatonville police said they were searching for a gunman who killed a man and left his half-naked body in the woods.

The body was found on Lemon Street by a group of children at about 2:30 p.m. Saturday, police said.

Eatonville's mayor, Bruce Mount, said he was shocked when he saw the body.

"I was in awe. It's one thing to get the phone call, but it's another thing to see a body sitting out there. It is a bad situation for it to happen in my town, it's really sad," said Mount.

The name of the victim was not released.
