Boater bumps into submerged car containing missing man’s body

BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. — Brevard County deputies said a boater was unloading his boat from a trailer when he struck something solid under the water.

Deputies said it was a car, and inside that car was the body of Robert Satterlee, 67, who’d been reported missing/endangered from Palm Bay days prior on June 15.

A death investigation is now underway to figure out the circumstances of Satterlee’s death. So far, investigators said there is no reason to believe his death resulted from foul play.

Deputies said the car was found underwater near the St. Johns Management area boat ramp located at 4350 Malabar Road in Malabar.
