Investigators in Orange and Osceola counties believe armed robbery suspects caught after a pursuit, crash and shots fired are responsible for two robberies.
A worker at the second robbery at the Vineland Road Burger King in Osceola County Monday told Channel 9 it was extremely scary when the men placed a drive-thru order, went to the window and then pulled out a double-barreled gun.
The woman said the robbers' faces were covered and she ran as soon as she saw the gun, calling 911 immediately.
The gunmen sped off, police said.
About 10 minutes before the incident, Orange County investigators said two men were robbed at gunpoint at the Ale House on Vineland Road. Authorities said the suspects and vehicle match the same description.
Osceola deputies spotted the getaway car soon after the Burger King holdup and followed it until Orange County deputies caught up with the suspects on Interstate 4.
There was a chase and a crash in the area of John Young Parkway and Directors Row, where gunfire was reported.
No one was shot, but the two men were arrested.
Orange County investigators are not releasing the identities of the suspects until they run the photos by all the victims in all the cases that could be connected.
Channel 9 learned one of the suspects is in his late 20s, the other in his early 30s.
