ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. — Skywtiness 9 HD was over the Perkins restaurant in Altamonte Springs where a driver crashed into the side of the building Tuesday.
Authorities said a woman was meeting her husband for lunch when she accidentally drove her Cadillac over a curb and into the side of the Perkins on State Road 436 about 11:30 a.m.
The building badly was damaged, but the driver wasn’t injured in the crash.
Her husband told Channel 9 he's not sure how it all unfolded.
"Your guess is as good as mine," he said.
The Seminole County Sheriff's Office told Channel 9 the restaurant was evacuated as a precaution.
