Central Florida police step up traffic enforcement to help keep pedestrians safe

ORLANDO, Fla. — People in Central Florida may notice more law enforcement officers on their drive to work or school Wednesday morning.

That’s because many agencies are now conducting high-visibility enforcement details.

The goal is to improve the safety for people walking along local roads.

Law enforcement wants to make sure cars give pedestrians and bicyclists room to pass and use crosswalks.
