Company expands COVID-19 rapid testing sites in Central Florida; see where

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — More rapid COVID-19 testing options are coming to Central Florida.

The rapid COVID-19 testing location near the Mall at Millenia has been open for a little over two weeks, and the company who operates the location said they now have plans to expand to The Villages.

COVID Testing, LLC offers two types of tests at its site off 33rd Street near the Mall at Millenia: the PCR test, which is a nose swab; and the serology test, which is a finger prick.

The company says they offer results back within the same day or 24 hours.

Appointments are not required. All people looking to get tested have to do is drive up and fill out the necessary paperwork.

Company officials said they plan to have a soft opening of their next testing site in The Villages at the end of this week before opening fully next Monday.

The goal is to have a total of six sites across Central Florida. Officials said they are scouting locations in Kissimmee, near the University of Central Florida, and in Sanford.
