Crowds gather outside Mar-a-Lago following Trump indictment

PALM BEACH, Fla. — Supporters of former President Donald Trump gathered outside of Mar-a-Largo to protest the indictment.

A crowd had been forming on the bridge outside Mar-a-Lago, with people being there for hours.

Some were supporters, while others were there to celebrate the indictment.

People were also driving back and forth across the bridge, Trump flags flying and honking their horns.

Some said it’s about time Trump was indicted, while others called the indictment foolish and malicious prosecution.

“I want to show support for Trump,” said Amnon Shalev from outside Mar-a-Lago. “I want to show support and tell him people are behind you and keep him fighting because he’s fighting for us.”

Former Department of Justice attorney Kevin O’Brien said the indictment is “going to be challenged.”

“There are some legal issues that are certainly going to be challenged up front,” he said. “And there are some factual weaknesses that will be tested along the way.”

Police were also on scene to keep an eye on crowds.
