Death of FAMU Robert Champion now in hands of state attorney

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — The case in the hazing death of Florida A&M University marching band member Robert Champion is now in the hands of the state attorney's office.

Champion died on a charter bus after the Florida Classic football game at the Citrus Bowl last November and before Monday afternoon, the Orange County Sheriff's Office was investigating the case.

Since November, several arrests have been made in other hazing cases involving FAMU band members, but none involving Champion's death.
