Investigators said prior to entering the car, the driver witnessed the man strike his girlfriend.

During the ride, the man sitting in the back seat of the car, identified as Daniel Pacheco, struck his girlfriend who was seated in the front passenger’s seat, investigators said.

The driver told deputies that Pacheco also hit her in the head.

OCSO said the driver ordered the man to get out of the car and told him that she had a gun.

After getting out of the car, the two had an argument. The driver said Pacheco aggressively charged at her, and fearing he was going to strike her again, she fired, striking him.
