Diamonds are a girl’s best friend: Orange County woman becomes lottery millionaire

A North Dakota beekeeper won the $1 million grand prize playing Diamond Mine 20X scratch-off.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — An Orange County woman is $1 million richer after playing the lottery.

The Florida Lottery announced the Diamond Mine 20X Scratch-Off Game winner as 56-year-old Mary Walker from Winter Park.

Walker purchased her winning ticket from Circle K in Eustis at 31734 East State Road 44.

She chose to receive her winnings as a one-time payment of $695,000.

The retailer will receive $2,000 for selling the winning ticket.

Each Diamond Mine scratch-off ticket costs $10 and has over $158 million in cash prizes.

Florida Lottery helps send students to college through the Bright Futures Scholarship Program and has contributed more than $44 billion to education.

According to the Florida Lottery, scratch-off games make up about 77% of ticket sales in the fiscal year from 2021 through 2022.
