Disney's Tomorrowland evacuated after bomb threat phone call

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Authorities said a prank phone call about a bomb led to the temporary closure and evacuation of a Walt Disney World attraction.

The Orange County Sheriff's Office said the evacuation Saturday night at Tomorrowland was precautionary. According to investigators, some called Disney's switchboard and said there was a bomb on the Space Mountain ride.

The evacuation lasted about two hours. Officials said the areas reopened before the park closed for the night.

The Sheriff's Office said the phone call appeared to be a prank and no bomb was found. A Disney spokeswoman referred questions about the evacuation to the sheriff's office.
