Divorce rates in the U.S. plunged to a 35-year low, according to data released by the National Center for Family and Marriage at Bowling Green State University in Ohio.
The marriage rate has remained stable, with about 32 marriages for every 1,000 unmarried women age 15 or older.
Utah has the highest marriage rate in the country, but it’s divorce rate is higher than other states, the research showed.
Many Americans are staying single longer before marriage, not getting married or living with a partner without tying the knot, the researched showed.
