‘Donut Boy' makes stop in Orlando to thank officers

ORLANDO, Fla. — A 9-year-old boy who goes by ‘Donut Boy’ thanked Orlando police with dozens of tasty treats on Wednesday.

Tyler Carach, from North Florida, has made it his mission to visit police departments around the country and thank officers for their service.

He usually pays for the donuts out of pocket, but Krispy Kreme donated donuts for Wednesday's event.

Tyler said he wants officers to know he's grateful for their work.

"I wanted to thank them because they're my friends. They keep us safe. And remind them that people still care,” he said.

Donning a cape that reads, “I donut need a reason to thank a cop,” Tyler said he got the idea while grocery shopping with his mother.

He said he saw some officers in the store and asked his mom if he could buy them donuts with his own money.

His ultimate goal is to thank every cop in America.
