Fire destroys RV in Ormond Beach, nearby garage damaged

VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. — Firefighters battled an RV fire that spread to a detached garage in Ormond Beach Monday evening.

Dispatchers received reports of an RV fire on Walnut Lane around 6 p.m., officials said.

Once on scene, firefighters found a fully involved RV and the flames spread to a datched three-car garage. Fire officials said about 25 percent of the garage was damaged in the fire.

There were no occupants in the RV or the garage at the time, according to officials.

The state fire marshal has been called out to investigate the cause of the fire.
