ORLANDO, Fla. — Florida health officials reported 12,199 new cases of COVID-19 Saturday, making the total number of positive test results to climb to 414,511 since testing began earlier this year.
The state reported another 126 deaths, pushing Florida’s coronavirus-related death toll to 5,894.

The recently reported coronavirus-related deaths involved 21 Central Florida residents, including nine in Orange County, five in Seminole County, five in Marion County, one in Polk County and one in Volusia County.
To date, the Florida Department of Health has reported 2,921,866 negative COVID-19 tests results, including the additional 47,542 that were noted in Saturday’s data.
