ORLANDO, Fla. — The Florida Department of Health reported 277 new coronavirus-related deaths on Friday.
Of the new deaths reported in the last 24 hours, 68 were in Central Florida.
Orange County reported 36 more virus-related deaths since Thursday. Records show this is the highest single-day total for Orange County.
Since the start of the pandemic, 25,405 people have died in Florida with COVID-19, records show.
State health officials also added 13,719 new COVID-19 cases on Friday, including 2,797 people in Central Florida.

Orange County reported the most new cases in Central Florida with 678.
Since the start of the pandemic, 1,627,603 COVID-19 cases have been recorded in Florida.
