ORLANDO, Fla. — The Florida Department of Health reported 15,445 new COVID-19 cases on Saturday.
Of the new cases reported, 3,287 were in Central Florida. Orange County reported the most new cases with 1,021.
Since the start of the pandemic, Florida has recorded 1,464,697 positive COVID-19 cases in the state, records show.

Florida also reported 31,807 negative test results on Saturday, bringing the state’s total negative tests to 7,721,450.
According to state records, 139 more coronavirus-related deaths were reported on Saturday, including one nonresident.
Of the new deaths reported, 18 were in Central Florida. Brevard County reported nine virus-related deaths on Saturday, the most in Central Florida.

State records show that more than half a million vaccines have been administered in Florida.
Florida added 70,684 more vaccines on Saturday, bringing the total number of vaccine doses given out in the state to 514,300.
Two weeks after receiving the vaccine, a second dose is required to complete the series.

State records show 35,857 have received both doses of the COVID-19 vaccine.
