ORMOND BEACH, Fla. — A certified nursing assistant was accused of posting naked pictures of patients on social media.

Investigators said it happened at Seaside Manor in Ormond Beach, and although police investigated, the victims declined to press charges.

But now, more than a year and a half later, Benjamin Gerardino's license has been revoked.

Department of Health officials said they're committed to thorough and objective investigations.

In this case, it took about a year to read through records and interview people to get to the bottom of the allegations.

Gerardino was accused of taking pictures of two patients while they were naked.

The nursing assistant is also accused of posting those pictures on Instagram.

Gerardino was accused of taking the pictures in December 2014, but the Department of Health did not find out about the allegations until the Agency for Health Care Administration told its officials the following March.

This week, after a year-long investigation, the state revoked the 24-year old's license.

This was not Gerardino's first time in trouble.

In 2009, the 24-year old took a plea deal in a burglary case.

He was also at the center of a child abuse case, which was dropped.

Seaside Manor’s attorney told said the facility conducts all the required background checks for employees.
