Friday’s forecast: Mostly sunny with cooler temps on the way

ORLANDO, Fla. — Expect lots of sun across much of Central Florida with cooler temperatures as a front moves in Friday afternoon.

A stray shower or thunderstorm is possible with a 60% chance of rain in the afternoon.

Daytime highs should reach the mid-80s.

For the weekend, we will see mostly sunny skies with overnight lows in the 60s.

In the tropics, Tropical Storm Karl remains poorly organized in the tropics and continues to move southeast over the Bay of Campeche at about 7 mph.

The storm is expected to bring heavy rainfall and tropical storm conditions to portions of southern Mexico.

Karl is expected to reach the coast of southern Mexico late Friday or early Saturday.

The storm brings no threat to Florida.
