FSU & OU enjoy Cheez-It Bowl ‘Day of Kids’ event at Fun Spot

ORLANDO, Fla. — Players and coaches from Florida State University and The University of Oklahoma joined in on the fun at the Cheez-It Bowl “Day of Kids” event at Fun Spot.

Before Thursday’s big game, FSU and OU players, coaches, and kids from The Communities of West Lakes spent Tuesday morning on Fun Spot thrill rides like roller coasters, racing go-karts, and even holding live alligators.

“To me, all the gifts that you can give these football players and gift cards and backpacks and trips to Fun Spot is amazing. But to see them hear the story of the connection to Camping World Stadium and the West Lakes neighborhoods and then get the hang out with these kids for a couple hours. I feel like a lot of them feel like that’s been the best part of the trip so far,” said Steve Hogan, CEO of Florida Citrus Sports.

The Seminoles and the Sooners will head back to practice and prepare for Cheez-It Bowl on Thursday, Dec. 29, at 5:30 p.m.
