ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Family members and friends gathered Friday evening to remember a Lake Nona family that died under mysterious circumstances.
Marcio Ferraz Do Amaral, his wife, Cledione, and their child were found dead inside their home in early December.
A benefit was held in memory of Cledione Do Amaral and her child in Kissimmee Friday. Family members are hoping to raise money to pay for the funerals.
"I just broke down. I couldn't believe it happened to her," friend Ashley Velez said.
Velez said she was devastated when she heard about the deaths inside the Lake Nona home. She worked with Cledione at Disney's Animal Kingdom and said she was a great person.
"She was very happy, very bubbly, she always had a smile on her face," Velez said.
Velez helped organize Friday's fundraiser at a Kissimmee restaurant.
"The reason I wanted to help out is because she helped me when I needed help at work," Velez said.
Investigators have yet to release further details regarding the deaths and said the case remains under investigation.
