JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Funeral plans are being put on hold for a Jacksonville girl who was kidnapped and murdered.
Cherish Perrywinkle's funeral will be held after an autopsy is complete.
Donald Smith has been charged with the 8-year-old's murder.
Her body was found behind a church Saturday.
Investigators said Smith met the girl's family while shopping last Friday night.
He reportedly offered to buy them clothes, but officials said it was a cover-up to abduct the victim.
