OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. — The Florida Highway Patrol said one person has died and another is in a hospital after a head-on collision on state Road 60 in Osceola County late Sunday night.
Troopers responded to state Road 60 near Peavine Rd, where they say a Honda Accord was traveling east when the vehicle ended up in the westbound lanes, colliding with a KIA Spectra heading west on state Road 60.
The 72-year-old driver of the KIA died at the scene, and the driver, 40, of the Honda was taken to Holmes Regional Medical Center.
Troopers are now figuring out why the Honda was in the westbound lane.
