Heavy rain threatens Central Florida from Sunday through Tuesday

Heavy rainfall totals between three and five inches are expected across Central Florida over several days

Saturday Morning WX Report Rain will continue to build across central Florida for the next few days. Rain totals could reach up to 3 to 5 inches.

ORLANDO, Fla. — Rain will continue to build across central Florida for the next few days. Rain totals could reach up to 3 to 5 inches.

A front stalled out in middle Georgia is pushing moisture southward. This is what is feeding our own rain chances through the next 48 hours.

The front brought us plenty of rain during the morning. We are expecting a slight break in the rain early in the afternoon.

It will still remain cloudy and humid throughout the day before the rain returns late this afternoon or early this evening.

The cold front will approach our area Sunday through Tuesday with more solid rain chances during the daytime. This is where we will see the bulk of the three to five inches of rain expected.

We are not tracking any severe weather impacts outside of the heavy rain threat.
