High-voltage power line falls on 30,000 gallon propane tank

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla.,None — A high-voltage power line fell on top of a 30,000 gallon propane tank at the Ameri Gas Company on 6th Street and Commercial Avenue in Holly Hill on Monday, according to the Daytona Beach Fire Department.

SLIDESHOW: Power lines fall across propane tank

Officials said that the power line was resting on top of the propane tank next to the vent stack. They said that due to the five 30,000 gallon tanks around the downed power line, it was best to have Florida Power and Light shut down the power grid in the area.

Businesses in the area were temporarily shut down and evacuated while Florida Power and Light removed the down lines, officials said.

The fire department said there were no reported injuries and the power was restored in the area.
