MARION COUNTY, Fla. — Human remains discovered in August of 2016 belong to a missing person in Marion County, deputies said.
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement’s DNA Section announced Monday that the remains belong to Danzell Humbert Jr., 25.
Humbert’s remains were found Aug. 20 in Dunnellon. His family reported him missing Aug. 14, deputies said.
Members of the Marion County Sheriff’s Field Force Unit were searching near SW 162nd Terrace and SW 36th Street for Dunnellon when they found his remains.
His cause of death is still under investigation.
