The investigative report, which is longer than 100 pages, tells the story of Armando Caballero leaving the complex after the ambush, doubling back and circling around on a golf cart.

At one point, he even used Marcano’s key fob to pretend like she was trying to get into the apartment.

Investigators said they found broken jewelry on the floor, and bloodstains on a bedroom pillow and living room pillow. A bookshelf was pushed against her bedroom door. DNA tests show blood from both Marcano and Caballero was found inside her room.

Investigators concluded that by 5:50 p.m., Caballero had killed her and taken her body out through her bedroom window.

The same duct tape found in Caballero’s car was what was used to bind Marcano’s body, investigators said.

Friends and family told investigators the relationship between Caballero and Marcano started off flirty, but when she didn’t want anything further from him, he became obsessive and overly emotional, and gave her gifts including $600 in cash. Those friends and family said she tried to tell him no, but he didn’t back off.
