West Palm Beach, Fla.,None — Jury selection has begun in the case of a wealthy Palm Beach polo mogul facing trial, accused of killing a University of Central Florida graduate in a drunken-driving accident.
Jury selection will continue Wednesday in the case of John Goodman.
Goodman is charged in the death two years ago of 23-year-old Scott Wilson.
Police said Goodman, who was drunk at the time, rammed his black Bentley convertible into Wilson's car, causing it to roll into a canal, where the man died.
Goodman is accused of leaving the scene and waiting nearly an hour to call 911.
Recently, Goodman made national news when he legally adopted his 42-year-old girlfriend as a way to protect some of his financial assets.
