20-year-old shot in drive-by shooting in Central Florida

TAVARES, Fla. — Tavares police are investigating a drive-by shooting that injured a 20-year-old man on Saturday.

According to police, the shooting happened outside the victim’s residence on West Maud Street.


The victim, Joshua Williams II, was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The vehicle and suspect description will be released once more information is received, police said.

According to a news release, the motive and intent are currently being investigated by detectives.
