ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — A man who was doing landscaping at an Orange County home wasn’t going to let robbers get the best of him.
The landscaper said three people inside a red car tried to rob him at gunpoint, so he shot at the attempted robbers, and he believes he injured one of them, deputies said.

The attempted robbery happened Friday around 12:14 p.m. near Gadwell Lane and Limpkin Drive in Orlando, deputies said.
The landscaper, whose name has not been released, was not injured.
Two of the would-be robbers took off in the car; another ran away through a neighbor's yard, deputies said.
None of the accused robbers have shown up at the hospital, deputies said.
"A guy trying to work and make a living, and somebody come there and try to rob him. It's not a good thing," said neighbor Alex Alexandre.
Neighbors told Channel 9's Jeff Deal that the landscaper is a regular around the neighborhood and takes care of several homes on the block.
At this point, it doesn't appear the landscaper will face any charges.
