Man attacked by machete-wielding suspect in Orange County

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — It was a chaotic scene in a quiet Orange County neighborhood on Monday after deputies said a man armed with a machete admitted he wanted to decapitate his mother's former boyfriend.

According to the arrest affidavit, Sadekie McDonald, 30, admitted to police that he broke into a home on Lake Hill Circle and attacked the owner with a machete. The force was so great that the machete broke in two, authorities said.

McDonald told police his intent was to "cut his (expletive) head off" and "play soccer with it."

After the machete broke, McDonald, began punching the victim in the head and then smashed the windows and windshields of the vehicles in the driveway before police arrived.

Neighbor Roberto Sanchez woke up to all of the commotion outside his home.

"I saw the guy there and he quickly gave up and the police grabbed him and took him," he said.

According to the report, McDonald told police the victim touched him inappropriately as a child when his mother dated him.

McDonald is facing a slew of charges, including attempted murder. He's being held in Orange County Jail without bond.
