Motorcyclist killed in Saturday night crash, troopers say

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly crash in Orange County involving a motorcycle.

The crash happened Saturday at 8:45 p.m. near the intersection of Orange Blossom Trail and Jones Avenue, troopers said.

According to troopers, the motorcycle was traveling southbound on Orange Blossom Trail and another vehicle was traveling northbound on Orange Blossom Trail.

The vehicle traveling northbound attempted to make a left turn onto Jones Avenue and turned into the path of the motorcycle, troopers said.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to troopers, the 51-year-old motorcyclist was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

The vehicle that struck the motorcycle crashed into another vehicle that was stopped at the intersection.

The drivers of both vehicles sustained minor injuries.

This crash remains under investigation.
