Police investigate after man found dead inside Orlando home that caught fire

ORLANDO, Fla. — Police in Orlando are investigating after a man was found dead inside of a home that caught fire Saturday morning.

Officers said they were called to a home on the 200 block of South Forest Avenue around 8:30 a.m.

Firefighters also responded to the home after reports of a fire and found a man dead inside.

The identity of the man and the cause of the fire have not been released by investigators.

A crime scene team was seen at the home Saturday afternoon.

Residents in the area said the man lived at the home with a roommate.

Police said detectives are actively investigating the circumstances around the fire and the man’s death.
