Firefighters said two neighbors rescued a man who was sleeping in the home when it caught fire.
The neighbors stopped him from going back into the home to retrieve his wallet, officials said.
“I heard the crackling noise, I was sitting outside drinking my coffee and saw the house started to catch fire and the neighbor’s pulling him out,” said resident Danielle Peake. “He had burns on his back but he seemed OK.”

The cause of the fire remains under investigation, but firefighters said it’s likely the blaze will be ruled as “undetermined” because the home is structurally unsafe for firefighters to go inside.
