Police said they had seen a dramatic increase in nighttime juvenile crime, particularly during holidays when younger people from other areas visit the city’s beaches.

The proposed ordinance would establish a citywide curfew from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. Friday and Saturday for anyone under 18.
