ORLANDO, Fla. — Investigators are working to find out who called in a bomb threat to the University of Central Florida’s Student Union Saturday night.
UCF police said the call came from a blocked number to Orlando police’s non-emergency line about 11:45 p.m.
Police immediately evacuated the Student Union, which was about to close at midnight, and blocked off surrounding entrances and roads.
Deputies with the Orange County Sheriff’s Office then came to assist with the situation.
Police and K-9 dogs swept the building starting at 2 a.m. when the caller said the bombs would detonate.
Nothing suspicious was found.
The Student Union reopened at 11 a.m. Sunday.
